Greenpeace to commemorate Chernobyl 25^thanniversary with candlelight vigil

25 April, 2011 (Toronto) - Greenpeace will hold a candlelight vigil in Toronto tonight to commemorate the victims of the world’s worst nuclear catastrophes, Fukushima and Chernobyl, on the 25^th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.

Greenpeace Nuclear Analyst, Shawn-Patrick Stensil, will speak at the vigil about his trip to Chernobyl earlier this month where he helped host an international media tour in his role as a radiation safety advisor.

What: Fukushima and Chernobyl candlelight vigil

Where: Ontario Ministry of Energy – 900 Bay Street & Wellesley, Toronto

When: Tuesday, April 26, 8:00 p.m.
